Hello, my fellow corporate relations enthusiasts!
‘Twas a cold winter night in December 2023 when I received the call that I had been selected to be a member of the most prestigious entity at KY, aka CORE. This is where my KY and corporate relations journey began. The eventful spring that followed made me realize the role of the Corporate Relations Coordinator was for me. The highlights of corporate relations include organizing cool and unique events, connecting and collaborating with a diverse pool of people, and learning useful transferable skills which will serve me for the rest of my life.
Even though I had some experience in sales from my first job as a golf equipment salesman, my time as the backbone of the KY Office has taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined! Being the Corporate Relations Coordinator puts you in a unique and special position within the community. You get the privilege and responsibility of working with your partner from the executive board to spearhead the future direction of KY’s corporate relations. Day-to-day work typically involves internal discussions and collaboration with KY and its volunteers, fulfilling our contracts with our corporate partners, and negotiating new contracts or deals.
What makes KY such a special workplace is that there is never a boring day at office. I’m excited to go to work every day, as I get to work with people that are hard-working, incredibly fun, and full of inspiring ideas – and I know I can always count on them. This is why KY is an amazing environment to try new things and learn new skills, as the people around you are incredibly supportive and want to help you succeed!
