Working as an association coordinator at KY means being part of a fun, encouraging and inspiring community. Every day, I get to collaborate with driven and creative individuals who make KY’s associations and clubs thrive. My role involves providing them with the resources and guidance they need, ensuring that their activities run smoothly and successfully. This includes for example communicating with various stakeholders through Telegram, organizing annual trainings for volunteers, organizing round tables for association representatives and sitting in panekoppi as one of the three service advisors.
In addition to this, my role includes being the vice chair of the Sports and Wellbeing Committee LiHy. As the vice chair, my job is to lead the committee with the KY Board’s Sports and Well Being Responsible, handle meeting documentation and oversee the annual budget. Managing finances, invoices, and expenses has strengthened my skills in organization and financial administration. While these responsibilities are valuable, what truly makes this experience meaningful is the people. Committee work has brought some lovely people to my life, and I am very grateful for all the memories that we already have together <3
One of the best aspects of working at KY is the flexibility — it allows for a healthy balance between studies and work. More importantly, the sense of community makes every challenge easier to tackle, as there’s always support from colleagues and my committee members. Every day in Espilä is different and it is always fun to come to work thanks to my amazing, yet sometimes goofy, work mates.
For anyone who enjoys working with people and giving back to the KY community, this role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills, build meaningful connections, and be part of an environment that inspires you to grow both professionally and personally.
