Covid-19 and it's effects on the KY community

All of KY’s premises are open for reservations.

Saha and the new event space on Metallimiehenkuja have full capacity: 160 people at Saha and 150 people at the new event space on Metallimiehenkuja.

Meeting rooms will continue to be available at their full capacities: 18 people in Tuomela, 9 people in Contactor, 10 people in Silent working space and 8 people in Montonen.

The service hours are 15:00-17:00 on Tuesdays and 10:00-12:00 on Thursday.

Contact the association that has organised the event as soon as possible.


Contact the KY Office as soon as possible. The first persons to contact are Heidi Riihimäki, Executive Director or Niko Ylä-Poikelus the Chair of the Board. You can find their contact information from below.


Never attend events if you are feeling sick. We encourage the use of masks in our events when possible and urge you to monitor your wellbeing at all times and get tested for Covid-19 if you have any symptoms.

Updates on how the covid-19 situation affects KY's operations


New update 29.9.2021


KY Board gathered today to discuss the improved Covid-19 situation in the Uusimaa region and how it affects KY’s functions in the upcoming weeks and fall. 


From 1.10.2021 onwards there will be no restrictions set by the Regional State Administrative Agency (AVI). On the same day, the capacities for KY’s event spaces will go back to normal, complying with fire safety: 160 people at Saha and 150 people at the new event space at Metallimiehenkuja. These numbers include the event organizers. All the cabinets will continue to be available with their normal capacities.


However, the hygiene safety measures regarding premises are in effect until 31.12.2021. You can find the safety measures required by authorities on our website (Instructions for Event Organizers).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVENT ORGANIZATION


Regulations regarding customer premises


These regulations are in effect until 31.12.2021.


The following safety measures must be arranged at all public and private customer facilities:


  • The possibility to clean one’s hands, either by washing or with sanitizer
  • Hygiene instructions must be on display
  • Possible customer seats must be placed at sufficient distances from each other, and the premises should be arranged so there is as much space as possible between customers 
  • Cleaning of facilities and surfaces must be enhanced
